Rachel Afeaki Taumoepeau Trust Manager Rachel, a New Zealand born Tongan works as the Trust Manager co-ordinating and implementing the numerous projects within the Trust. Her background is in strategic business management instigating business and operational systems for small-medium sized organisations both in the business and community sector. She directed a Pacific Mentoring Youth Agency based in Manukau City for it's initial challenging 4 years implementing business strategies and systems of operation into a community based agency. During this time she saw the need for community initiatives to ‘go to the next level’ of capacity excellence and move towards operating like a business -adopting business principles – for long-term sustainability with the intention of re-investment back into it's respective communities. She mentors aspiring young entrepreneurs particularly within the Pacific communities and speaks regularly on Pacific issues. Rachel has a heart for promoting, educating and raising the awareness on key issues concerning young people, children and the family. Accessibility of information is vital for all key stakeholders to be informed particularly concerning social issues and in her role Rachel ensures the right information is made available to the public. She's married to her lovely scientist husband Alekisanita Taumoepeau loves playing golf and enjoys being a mum to four sons aged 2-8 years. |
